Good and Bad. Which Do You Want First?

GOOD: So a wonderfully exciting thing happened last month - it includes a courthouse and me ripping up the worst ticket ever issued! C & I ventured over to the county courthouse and sat...and sat...and sat..and sat. Guess what, the cop never showed up, couldn't testify, and thus I got off scott free (not that I wouldn't have if he had shown up...cough, cough!). So I just thought that I'd show you my excitement of being able to rip up my ticket and not have my rates go up!

BAD: I'm now counted amoung the Michigan citizens. It's true. I've become a resident of Michigan (but only for the tax break!). I switched over my car titles, license plate, and even my Utah drivers license. They completely destroyed my precious connection to some sanity on the roadway. One word: Lame.

Plus, I'm so sorry I haven't kept up the blog lately! C has the laptop most of the time and I haven't really had the opportunity to steal it for more than a few minutes. But I'll try to sneak in every once in a while! Come May though, I'll be back in full force!

C and I are getting stinking excited to have people come visit us! We get to have the Blakes come for a week and C is going to show them the sites! Hooray for our BCFF's! Plus, my amazing parents are going to come visit while C is gone volunteering for the disaster relief foundation. I'm so excited to get to see my parents, I'm just trying to think of ways to get them to move here for the next couple years now...any ideas?

So now that I'm working at the video store on the side, I've been getting asked some odd questions that I'm interested in hearing your opinions on. What are your responses to the following questions...
  1. How old are you? (I get asked this all the time, sometimes they think I'm like sixteen, do I really look that young?)
  2. Did you dye your hair that color? Is it blond or is it brown? (My hair is its natural color with natural highlights, but I never know how to respond to the color question)
  3. Does it snow in Utah? (Duh! Winter Olympics?)

Also, just an FYI. I've stood in the exact same spot as Magic Johnson. That's right. Magic came into our store a couple months ago and they all got pictures with him. I wasn't working there then, but if I had been - I totally would post a picture for you.

C is just kicking into high-gear with finals approaching. K is just finishing up some projects that really need to get moving (I'll post pics after they are finished and in the hands of the owners). Otherwise, we are just never home. Hopefully all is well for you guys and I'll get to log on again here soon!

Don't count on your parents moving out there. They are grandparents now, remember? So sorrrrry.

Congrats on the ticket. Not so sure about being a Michigander.

It was good to see you back again!

Answers:
1. How old do I need to be for a tip?
2. Oh, this isn't my hair, it's a wig made of hair I've stolen off random people on the bus.
3. It hasn't snowed in Utah since 1992 when Utah County voted for a Democrat.

I'll give you a minute for that last one.... google it.

Well I had the cop actually show up and try to make me take a plea bargain, but I didn't and I went in front of the magistrate and argued...AND WON!

At least you didn't get told you look 12. I get that all the time. What do you say? Um, thanks? Actually I'm 26, but that was close.

I will absolutely congratulate you on the Michigan thing! That is so cool. LOL I just read your blog sometimes and shake my head because honestly, comparing UT and MI is like apples and oranges. Glad you got out of your ticket.
