Quick Update

The Poison Ivy is almost gone! The big red splotches have left and now all we have is dry, itchy skin! Thank heavens!

C is getting through his classes this term, it's going to be a rough one with Research and Writing. He also is doing well with the poison ivy and no longer looks like I beat him with a baseball bat (which I swear I didn't do!).

I've just been working a lot. This week is going to be a busy work week as well - pulling doubles Wednesday through Saturday, how fun! Also, we had our primary activity on Saturday and it turned out really well! Tons of great food from around the world - THANK YOU to everyone who helped! I seriously need recipes for the New York food, yummy!

Nothing else exciting. Just a small world experience today. Miss Pace Sauce is doing EFY as a counselor and one of her co-counselors is one of my amazing GHA girls, Miss Katrina Irving! Holy crap, I love that girl! Which reminds me of one of my favorite quotes:

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.

We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
