First Date Date

Four years ago Kara schmoozed Chris into asking her out on a date. Chris cooked her dinner, took her to pick out pumpkins, carved pumpkins, made her watch baseball for a long time, and the date was over by 9pm. So maybe the first date didn't go so well...and it took about 9 more months before we went on a second date...but we still celebrate it.

Here's the candle that we lit on our first date. We light it every year!

Here are the master carvers at work.
[Maybe not master carvers, maybe just attempters]

Those are both cool! I grew a bunch of pumpkins in the back yard this year but I'm afraid they won't get carved. They are sitting by the front walk.

Yes, we are boring.

Yay for your updates! You are both seriously talented carvers, I'm super impressed, and glad that you gave C a second chance after the disaster date :)

I should have know you were still a faithful reader! I just assumed since I fell off the blogging band wagon for a while, that everyone stopped checking to see if I ever blogged again! Guess what?! I get to see you in a month and a half!

You ARE master carvers! WOW!!! We asked Ashlyn, "what shape do you want your eyes on your pumpkin?" "I want them scary," she said. Jason did his best, but he can't beat yours. I'm very impressed.
