Things come in three's

If things really do come in three's than I really need to watch my back! This has been a very rough, off-putting week. It's been one thing after another in a domino effect that will probably keep me working through the weekend now...

On a happy note Chris and I went up to Owosso this last weekend for the Curwood Festival. We went with the Richardson's and had an absolute blast! If you want to see pics you can head over to their blog...sorry, I haven't quite had a chance to download ours yet!

Owosso was really fun! We were able to tour through the Castle which was basically a big party house. There was a settlers village and it was interesting to see how things were made and cooked so long ago. Funny story, there was a guy there with a rifle collection and he asked us if we had a gun or been shooting before. Then he said, "First you get a gun, then you buy a whole bunch of them, next thing you know you're dressed up and sleeping in a tent!" (paraphrased, it was a lot funnier in person!)

At the festival they had rides and yummy food too. We cheated on our healthy eating we are doing for P90X and ate a Elephant Ear - yummy! It was so much fun and we are so glad we were able to go! Thanks Richardson's!

Monday I received a funny(?) item in the mail. If its a hint, I'm not taking it.

Yes, someone sent me a baby bottle in the mail. No note, no label, and sent directly from the manufacturer. So to whomever you are, or the higher beings that be, thank you for the bottle - I'm sure whoever gets the next baby shower I go to will be thrilled!

Yesterday was intense, to say the least. The day started off great, working and being busy. Every day at lunch my co-worker and I walk 2 miles. While on our walk, fire trucks pull up to an office on our street and there is a smoking electrical box. We were ever so grateful that we weren't affected. [This is where we cursed ourselves].

Two hours later our power goes out, then comes back on at the half-level, or what they call a brown-out. Next thing I know, I smell something burning. Hmmm...my computer is smoking. Then, I smell more smoke...yes, my co-workers was smoking too. When the power finally comes back on we test the computers to see if they still work. Mine shoots out flames at me! I almost lost my eyebrows, and I'm not even kidding!

Luckily, the computer docs were able to patch them back up and I'll be getting a battery to run my computer off of. Yay!

Aren't you getting ready to go to Girl's Camp? When I was a youngster back in the "olden days" we took baby bottles to camp and drank out of them. Don't ask me why. Maybe you can start a new trend.

As for the computer problems, this sounds like an OSHA issue. Smoking in the office? Toxic fumes? Missing eyebrows? Instead of overtime this weekend maybe you can ask for sick leave.
