Weekend in Nauvoo

Chris and I took a long 8 hour drive down to Nauvoo, IL. It was absolutely wonderful and we loved being able to visit - Chris is already planning another trip back!

We were able to see all of their sponsored shows - which were absolutely hilarious! Additionally, we were able to visit Carthage and I even touched the M-I-S-S-I-S-S-I-P-P-I! It was crazy! Plus, we stayed in the Ellis Sander House which is one of the best preserved original pioneer homes. The house was used as a safe-house for Joseph Smith and has all the original flooring, doors and keys, and even banister. Plus, the pictures you'll see of food is from our breakfasts. The first morning we had "I Love Nauvoo Eggs" and the second day was "Clouds over the Mississippi Eggs".

We loved going to Nauvoo, seeing the Alvesteffer's in the pageant, and even running into some old friends, the Barnett's, from our old college ward.

But onward and upward - I'M GOING TO NEW YORK CITY!!! Whoohoo! I get to go to New York in two days! I'm so excited and I'm definitely going to see the sites!
