Last Saturday was the Lansing, MI Stake Primary Activity. We held it out in the country in Charlotte at a sisters amazing homestead. There were horse-drawn hayrides, chicken coops, relays, and many more activities with great food and cider!
We actually didn't think that anyone would show up because it was a bitter cold early Saturday morning with a lot of fog. We thought we'd be lucky if we had 30-40 people show up. We planned for 75 kids for all the activities, and bought food to feed 150 people. Man were we wrong!
Tons of people came - the streets were lined with cars and the estate was filled with kids! My station made FHE Bags (sew cute!) and I had made 85 bags just in case. I was only left with 3 bags after all the kids came through my activity area. Not to mention the amount of adult supervision that accompanied the kids - the volunteers were fantastic!
The horse-drawn hayrides were given by an Amish neighbor. Plus, I even got to catch and hold chickens! I really think the kids enjoyed themselves and hopefully the adults did too!
