C here. Just wanted to drop a note and express my feelings about the first week of law school. Luckily, I haven't had to recite any cases in class yet, but the sheer stress of the possiblity that I might was probably worse than actually having to. My brain is overloaded with information. I am even having a hard time writing this because I am just kinda numb. The good thing is, today (Saturday) I woke up and actually understood what I am supposed to be learning from all the cases I have been reading. The less than good thing is that I have to start the whole process over again for next week. I haven't even started the memorizing part, although I think now that I understand what to memorize, it will be at least a little easier. I wrote my first practice essay yesterday and it really helped me understand the pattern I should follow to understand the cases. The funny thing is that the tests are not on the cases necessarily. I will survive law school, but I am definitely counting down the weeks! Week one is over!
P.S. Here is a picture of the Bears v. Colts game K whined about in a previous blog. It rained most of the trip to Indianapolis. The whole trip was capped with a late night stop at the White Castle for a crave case (30-pack) of mini burgers. I'm pretty sure that if any of us ever smell one of those burgers again, we will chonk all over.

Congrats on finishing on top of week one. I'll just say that I don't envy you at all!
one down... hooray! my deepest regards go out to you C. So are you prepared yet to defend me. not that I need it yet ;)
Way to go! Having just finished week 3, and dreading week 4, and looking ahead to the hundreds of weeks to go... I feel ya, brother.
We'll get through this, and when it's done you can call me doctor and I'll call you to bail me out of jail! Seriously, will your title be "counselor" cuz that's pretty boring.
Eris, you'll have to call me Esquire then!
