Long Weekends

I really love long weekends, being able to sleep in and just be lazy! I especially love long weekends with lots of food! C and I were lucky enough to be invited to a couple of bbq's. On Friday we went to my co-worker, Stefanie's, party and today we went to my boss' house for a huge celebration!

My boss, Brian, has a beautiful home. His wife is an elaborate gardener and they have their own pond. It was really great to be able to go out there and be in a real backyard enjoying the sunshine and fresh air. The other cool thing was that I discovered a sport I am decent at. Seriously, I hit the ball - and it was a good thing!

Above is a bocce ball set. The goal is to throw the little ball and then roll the rest of the balls as close as you can to the little ball. The team with the most balls closest to the little ball gets points based on ball proximity and the first team to reach 15 pts wins. I'm contemplating picking up a set of bocce balls now and having a game day! Seriously, wouldn't it be fun to get a huge group together and play?

Other than that we've been busy working and studying. We haven't even seen any fireworks this year and we don't get a second chance with Pioneer Day like you Utahn's do!

Question to all the Michiganders out there...is anyone planning on going to Common Ground this week? (www.commongroundfest.com) Because C and I are contemplating going Friday for Finger Eleven and Seether and it might be fun to have a group to go with. Or even if someone has already bought a common card and isn't going to use it that night we could go in on it with you. Let us know - it sounds like a fun time!

I don't think you would have liked going to camp with me...you might have had to yell at me :) No, it would have been a blast! You might have been my match at canoe wars. You should call me this week sometime after 3 my time! I miss you too! I'm gonna post climbing pics soon, so keep looking!!!

I played that game at my boss's house too and it was fun. I totally recommend going to see Finger Eleven! We went to the 3 Doors Down concert in Ohio and they opened for them, they were really good!
