We officially hired someone to fill my position today. She appears to be a very fun, smart girl. Her credentials are similar to mine and she will do a great job. IT IS STILL HARD.
I really thought I'd walk out of Michigan without looking back, and for the most part, I will. It just is hard to see someone stepping into my shoes so quickly and knowing that there is no turning back.
I've been replaced.
I have no one to replace myself.

YOU have not been replaced! no one can replace Kara Finley! got that?! haha just your position has been filled. I bet your co workers are dying! and friends and ward members. You will be missed- your too awesome not to be.
You can NEVER be replaced.
On the other hand, take it as a compliment that she is so much like you that they hired her.
As I told you before, you will eventually look back on your seven years in Michigan with fondness. Well, except for the endless car wrecks. And being far away from home (and me...). And how freaking cold it is in the winter. And
Kara I'm so excited for you to come back to Utah! It will be fun!
Don't you hate that? You're so excited to move on but there's a little part of you that is still attached? Don'w worry. Once you're busy in Utah you'll forget all about it.
