I am officially unemployed! My last day with Ameriprise was on Friday, December 11th and I cried. It will be so sad to not work with such amazing people and I am going to miss them, they were more like friends than co-workers. Friday was a hard day, but we went out to the MSU University Club and had our holiday luncheon and then did some gifting. At least I know I will get to see them one more time before we leave Michigan.
It feels so stressful to have to hope that I am able to find another job quickly. At the same time, I would appreciate a break to do some fun things and reacquaint myself to the move and new living situation. On the other hand, I know that it costs money to live and I better get to working. Hopefully a job lands into place this next week!
Chris is an amazing soul and has started selling off all of our furniture and getting stuff packed. I have helped just a little. I packed all my clothes, most of the decorations, and the kitchen items we had kept the boxes for. The rest of the packing I'll get around to on Wednesday and Thursday with a tentative moving day of Friday.
Please start crossing your fingers that next Friday - Monday are going to be snow-free, perfect driving days!

Good luck, Kara! I can't believe the end of your Michigan days are so near! Wow! I feel for you. It's an overwhelming time for you guys! Hopefully all will go well, smoothly, and the transition will be an easy one for you!
